Child Sexual Abuse.
I am more disappointed than sad on this case. However, let me just say that this case os hypothetical only. Wink wink.
A below 15 year old girl is pregnant. It is her first pregnancy. No one seems to be surprised as she has 6 siblings all stayed in a one room flat. Due to poverty they sometimes rent a space, i repeat a space in the same flat to strangers to earn some income to pay the rent.
Naturally, the men always slip himself between the kids. Sometimes boys, sometimes girl. The mother don’t care. To her it’s a win win situation. We got to pay rent and sleep with walls. That is all that matters.
One of her girls got pregnant. She no longer goes to school. But a friend of ours saw the changes and asked. The mom knows. She just didn’t reveal who is the father. Tak ingat yang mana.
Mom doesn’t want to cooperate. She was adamant.
Few days ago the daughter fell due to dehydration and went to see a doctor. I was happy because the hospital will definitely know she is pregnant and justice can takes its course. Today we thought of visiting her.
Apparently she is back at home. The mom was annoyed we want to visit. Then i realise that she went to a private local gp and due to her age, maybe they didn’t check thoroughly. The mother didn’t understand what is the fuss.
Couldn’t talk any sense to the mom.
I am worried about the welfare of the child, both children.
I am worried the baby might be trafficked via baby selling.I need the mother to know that her daughter is not her. She still has a long way to go.
I don’t get to see them at often. The child helps the family. They have a dad who stays with them and probably abuse her and her sister too and just let it be.
Wbo can reach out and CONSISTENTLY guide them. This is one reason why is hard because it’s a long slow progress. You have to learn about the community and aboutbtheir ways and needs.
The photo below is a sample room of how it looks like cramped together sometimes up to 2 families. No boundaries, anything can happen. This is at RM600 a month. You do the math on our urban poor capabilities.
This HYPOTHETICAL case is not new a d it is not just a case due to ignorance alone. It is multiple factors with indirect or directly pointed to us the public to blame.
For now, we will still try to see the girl at her usual playground after she work. But we also have to bring some sense to her mum.
