According to a study by OAG, an air travel intelligence firm, the KL-Singapore air route is the busiest in the world.
More than 30,500 flights travelled between the two cities in the past year up until February with an average of 84 flights every day, as reported by AFP.
The hour-long trip is no doubt a favourite among Malaysians, Singaporeans and foreign travellers since Singapore and KL happen to be regular pit-stops to transit for different airlines.
Now both nations are eagerly waiting for the high-speed railway link between KL and Singapore that is expected to be completed in 2026 because the entire travel time on-land will only take 90 minutes!
We can literally go for a quick lunch or tea in Singapore and come back on the same day without having to fuss around at the airport. Or make an impromptu trip to Universal Studios!
Besides KL-Singapore, the world's second busiest international air route turns out to be between Hong Kong and Taipei (28,887 flights), followed by Jakarta and Singapore (27,304 flights).
So when was the last time to travelled to Singapore?
