Henry the dog and Baloo the kitty have been taking social media by storm.
Proving that cats and dogs sharing the couch is no longer a big deal, this adorable duo is travelling around the world with owner Cynthia Bennett and her boyfriend.
It all started back in 2014 at an adoption event, when Henry had Cynthia at hello.
She told The Dodo: “We looked around and Henry was just sitting there. They said he was only three and a half months, but he was like five times bigger than the other three and half-month-old puppies. And he had these long legs, and the body type of a wolf or husky.”
“He just curled up into my lap and went belly up and flipped his head over my arm.
“And from then, I decided that he was coming home with us,” Cynthia added.
She and her boyfriend are passionate hikers, and what doubled up their joy is Henry’s similar interest.
“I think we only had him for three days when we took him on our first hike, which was to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs,” said Cynthia.
“He found the steepest, tallest rock around, and he ran up to the top of it to look over the edge.”
Darn, that’s a superhero introduction! From then, he earned the nickname - “little mountain goat”.
A few months later, the couple wanted a partner for their pooch and surprisingly adopted a cat from a local shelter, and that turned out to be another great decision.
Named Baloo, the Siamese kitten mix instantly fell in in love with Henry; always wanting to play, snuggle and of course, getting outdoors! In fact, Baloo whines whenever he is left behind for hiking sessions.
Cynthia mentioned: “I get a lot of questions about how we got him used to it. But he really loves it. He really wants to go outside.”
“He’s definitely not the kind of cat we can leave home alone on the weekend anymore. I think he thinks he’s more a dog than anything.”
From snow-capped mountains to canyons, gorgeous lakes and rugged landscapes, the unlikely best friends are showing no signs of slowing down and at any condition, they definitely pose well for photos.
Pictures below will put you in an “awwww” mode.
Aren't they just the cutest? We hope Henry and Baloo would go on more adventures together, so that we can go 'awww' over and over again at their adorable pictures.
