In 2017, we saw a stomachful of yummy trends taking over Malaysians’ taste palettes (and Instagram feed).

From the overly popular nasi lemak burger to the keria gula Melaka and not forgetting the Milo Energy Cubes, it was indeed a year filled with yummy food and snacks. You can read our full list of trending food in 2017 here.

So, what does 2018 hold for us food lovers?

Well, if you have a sweet tooth or happen to be a hardcore Milo lover, you’d be delighted to know that Milo ice balls or also known as ‘ais kepal’ is a thing and is now currently trending!

Ice balls aren't something uncommon, in fact, it's a local dessert that's been around for decades. But recently, a lovely makcik from Kuala Kangsar made headlines when she started selling an elevated form of the ice ball – Milo ice balls.

Instead of your normal red or brown sweet syrup, each ice ball is smothered in thick, velvety Milo syrup and topped off with a spoonful of Milo powder.

It's like we've died and gone to chocolate heaven!

Aiyooo just looking at it is making us drool already.
For those of you who are currently staying in the Klang Valley, fret not, because we have found another café that sells this viral Milo ice ball!

Gather your dessert-loving friends and make your way to Daughter’s Kitchen located in Kg. Melayu, Sungai Buloh, to experience for yourself this wonderful, icy marvel.

Got peanut some more on top, so yummy!
The best part about it is that it’s very pocket-friendly – it will only cost you RM2.90!

It’s cheap, it uses our second national beverage (the first one is of course teh tarik), and it helps you cool off in our Malaysian hot and humid weather. Need we say more to convince you to give this chocolatey ice ball a try?
