Prime Ministers holding press conferences or media interviews aren’t something out of the ordinary. In fact, it’s a common activity worldwide and often done with full-on formalities.

But what happens when one Prime Minister (not Malaysia, ah) decides to leave an interview in true Snoop Dogg ‘Thug Life’ style by replacing himself with a cutout cardboard - of himself?

This bizarre act was done by Thailand’s Prime Minister, Prayuth Chan-ocha, recently:

In a short clip that went viral, we can see the Prime Minister ending a brief meeting with members of the press outside the Government House in Bangkok by telling them that “if you want to ask any questions on politics or conflict, ask this guy” before placing the life-sized cutout cardboard in front of the microphone.

He then walked out and waved to the stunned press members. What a classic *mic drop* move.

Everyone was in utter disbelief but had a good laugh about it. The crowd later approached the cutout cardboard to ‘ask’ questions and took photos or selfies.

*drops mic and walks out*
Hi Prime Minister sir, where did you get this idea?
Apparently, the cutout cardboard of the PM with a handshake pose will be used for the upcoming Children’s Day.

Prayuth has been Thailand’s Prime Minister since 2014.

Well, we guess with the whole seriousness surrounding politics, it’s okay to have a little humour once in a while.
