You Can Soon Book Malaysia Airlines Flights Via Facebook

In the era of digitalisation, almost every service is available on our fingertips. For example, you can now book flight tickets not only via an airline's website, but on their app as well.

That convenience is set to take a huge leap because soon, while scrolling through Facebook reading funny memes or watching cat videos, you’ll also be able to book flight tickets.

Malaysia Airlines has recently announced that the national carrier will be the first company in Asia to offer flight bookings via Facebook Messenger.

Through this service, passengers will be able to book flights, process payments, and retrieve itineraries via the social media platform.

The chats, however, will be manned by a bot instead of a real person. Guess AI is really taking over our lives - and jobs - one step at a time.

The feature is part of three new digital initiatives introduced by MAS – MHguardian, MHfeedback and MHchat.
