Anti-corruption agency refutes claim by Najib's lawyer's that he is to be questioned at his home.
BREAKING NEWS
PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission has denied a claim by a lawyer to former prime minister Najib Razak that Najib would be questioned at his home.
In a statement issued this evening, MACC Deputy Commissioner Azam Baki said that Najib was required to be present at the MACC’s headquarters on Tuesday to have his statement taken pertaining to the investigations into the government-owned company SRC International, a former subsidiary of government-owned 1Malaysia Development Berhad.
“In the notice handed to Najib yesterday, it is clearly stated that he is required to come to the MACC headquarters.”
Najib’s lawyer Harpal Singh Grewal had said earlier this afternoon that MACC officers would interview him at his home.
