Just as Apple users are beginning to accept the fact that the company had intentionally slowed down the performance of previous iPhone models after the latest iOS update, Apple has now disclosed another major headache for both the company and its consumers.

It was recently discovered that there are chip flaws that will leave all Mac and iOS devices vulnerable to hackers. *gasp*

What now, Apple?
On Wednesday, Google and a few security researchers have found out that are two major chip flaws –one called Meltdown affecting only Intel Corp chips and another one called Spectre affecting nearly every computer chips made in the last decade.

Apple is reportedly affected by both Spectre and Meltdown and is currently working on a patch for the Safari web browser on all iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

Why Safari, you ask? Because Macs and iOS devices are at risk of attacks through codes that can run in web browsers.

But there’s some good news if you have updated to the latest operating system as it will protect users against Meltdown attacks and will not slow down the devices. As for Apple Watch users, you will not be affected at all so you can heave a sigh of relief.

We hope Apple will rectify this problem as soon as possible, because there’s a lot of private information and confidential data at stake as we speak.
